Cloaks and Daggers
If I had to choose one word to describe Sylvie it would choose this one: devious.
Sylvie ambled into work nimbly this week, the cast that had been restricting her movement having mysteriously disappeared over the weekend. You would think that such a momentous occasion would be a topic of conversation, but no, Sylvie decided to keep the removal of her cast quiet around the office. It was this gesture that tipped me off to the probable solution to the mystery of the cast. You may remember, dear reader, that I had my doubts as to whether Sylvie had indeed injured her leg or was just wearing the cast as some sort of disguise. I think that the shady disappearance of the cast has given us our answer. Sylvie decided to wear the cast for several weeks so that we would get used to her walking slowly around the office. Now that she has removed her cast she'll be able to sneak up on us much more effectively as during the past several weeks we have been conditioned to think that her mobility is impaired. Devious.
It has come to my attention that Sylvie is organising foreing language courses at work. First Italian, and then, yesterday, there was a rumour passing through the office that Russian would be offered. Another suspect staff member was seen conferring with her on several occasions regarding these classes. What could these two be up to? Perhaps they are recruiting for a cadre of super-spies trained right here in the arts of stealth and subterfuge under the guise of learning languages to use on holiday? Fear not - we shall be watching these so-called language classes carefully during the following weeks.
You may have noticed that in Sylvie's own blog she mentions that she is laying traps in order to root out the identity of the members of our organisation. Let me just assure you that for every trap there is a counter trap, for every plot there is a plan, for every scheme there is a ... well you get the idea. I am not one to be taken in by the normal techniques: a hair across the desk drawer; a piece of tape fastening the door shut; a carefully measured out arrangement of papers; a strong encryption algorithm. We are everywhere and nowhere at the same time. We are SylvieWatch and we will prevail!
Une journee dans la vie de Sylvie Noel a la fois!
